Welcome to the official website of the National Wheelchair Softball Association (NWSA). NWSA is the official governing body for competitive wheelchair softball in the United States and around the world. NWSA governs over forty adult and junior teams of men, women, boys, and girls of all ages in the United States, and assists teams in other countries including Japan, Ghana, and Korea.

APPLICATION DEADLINE - JANUARY 30, 2022
Late Applications will not be considered
This year the NWSA is looking to form two teams of 12-13 players and 2-3 coaches/staff for each team. Team USA RED will consist only of athletes who have previously been Team USA members and have played in Japan. Team USA BLUE will consist of other qualified players selected to represent the USA and NWSA.
The teams will travel to Japan for the 2022 International Wheelchair Softball Championships to be held in October 2022, near Tokyo. The teams will practice and compete at the 2022 WSWS held August 4 - 6, 2022 in Crestwood, Illinois.
Athletes are responsible for all of their expenses. Estimated cost of the trip is $3600. Athletes will be required to book and purchase their own airfare and lodging.
IMPORTANT & MANDATORY DATES:
The teams will be chosen to create an experienced, skilled, highly competitive, greatly accomplished and geographically diverse representation. Teams will have athletes with various classification levels to create multiple line-up opportunities, with back-ups for each position and classification level.
The Selection Committee includes members of the NWSA Board of Directors.
