2013 National Wheelchair Softball
Tournament
The 2013 National Wheelchair Softball
Tournament (adult) will be held in Chicago, ILL
(Aug. 22-24). Detailed information regarding
tournament sites and hotel will be forthcoming
from the tournament host committee. On behalf of
NWSA I would like to thank Larry Labiak and the
Chicago Parks District for agreeing to host
NWSA’s annual championships for the second
consecutive year. Last year’s tournament was
great, and I know they are working to make the
2013 NWST even better!

The National Wheelchair Softball Association
((NWSA) is pleased to announce a new two year
agreement with ABC Home Medical Supply, Inc.
(ABC Medical) as the exclusive medical
supply provider of NWSA. This exciting new
relationship will help provide support for
the NWSA to provide programs to its members,
teams, drive membership, and support
operations. Additionally ABC will be the
exclusive medical supply sponsor of NWSA’s
annual National Wheelchair Softball
Championship Tournament (NWST) to be held
this year in Chicago on August 16th-18th.
“We are extremely excited about our new
partners at ABC Medical. ABC Medical and its
CEO, Keith Jones, are great supporters of
disabled sports and I feel confident that
the NWSA and ABC Medical will mutually
benefit through the combined energy and
efforts of both organizations,” said Bruce
Froendt, Commissioner of NWSA.
ABC Medical will be marketing and raising
awareness of the NWSA through its “Adaptive
Sports Finder” tool on ABC’s website. This
tool will help provide valuable
organizational information about the NWSA
for inquirers. ABC will also promote NWSA by
using wheelchair softball athletes in
various ABC marketing efforts.
