Welcome to the official website of the USA Wheelchair Softball (also known as the National Wheelchair Softball Association (NWSA)). USA Wheelchair Softball (USAWS) is the official governing body for competitive wheelchair softball in the United States and worldwide. USAWS governs over forty adult and junior teams of men, women, boys, and girls of all ages in the United States and assists teams in other countries, including Japan, Ghana, and Korea.

The weather is warming up and the grass is getting greener. Time to register your team for the 2024 Wheelchair Softball season!
All teams must register before prior to May 20 to be eligible to play in NWSA sanctioned events, the first of which is May 25-26 at the Texas Wind Up in Pasadena, TX.
Below are the confirmed tournaments for 2024.
July 20 - 21: - Deep South Classic - Pearl, MS
July 27 - 28: LWSRA Hawks Tournament, New Lennox, IL

As your Commissioner, the following will be used to enhance competition and recognition across our sport for the 2024 Wheelchair Softball Championship Tournament:
1. Tournament Structure: The championship tournament will be renamed the International Wheelchair Softball World Series (IWSWS), with international teams welcome to participate.
2. Schedule Extension: To facilitate more games, IWSWS games will be played through Saturday until 6-7 p.m.
3. Championship Criteria: Designate the highest-finishing USA team as the National Champion, with international teams eligible for the overall IWSWS tournament championship.
4. Awards Eligibility: International teams will not be eligible for NWST all-tournament awards.
5. Sunday Play: Play a select tournament, This tournament will be called The “Clincher Cup”, which will include the U.S. Champion, The Highest International Champion, and two select U.S. All-Star teams.
6. International Recognition: Award international participants in the Sunday championship, with distinctions separate from US all-tournament teams and Hall of Fame (HOF) recognition.
Our aim is to foster a more inclusive, competitive, and celebrated international wheelchair softball community.
